Theatrical Props & Costumes
I have been a member of Sturminster Newton Amateur Dramatic Society (SNADS) for many years and for a good number of them I have been involved with costume, stage dressing and makeup, usually for the pantomimes which each require a large number of costumes, so help is always needed by the wardrobe mistress. Below you will find archive photos of some of the “theatre textiles” I have made. I have to say though that the textile link with one of them is a bit tenuous – a couple of us had to “cross dress” when (as usual) we didn’t have enough men. The eyebrows and sideburns are Jacob fleece!
